Russian stocks may fall amid negative foreign background
MOSCOW, Apr 25 (PRIME) -- Russian stocks may decrease at the opening on Wednesday amid a moderately negative foreign background, analysts said.
“We expect a negative opening of the MOEX Russia Index with a significant decline of around 0.5–0.7%, around the level of 2,240 points,” Vitaly Manzhos, a senior risk manager at investment company Nord Capital, said. The nearest support levels will be 2,230 and 2,220 points, while 2,260 and 2,270 points will act as resistance, he added.
The U.S. stock index futures fell 0.2% prior to the opening of the Russian market, Japan’s Nikkei225 decreased 0.3%, and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng lost 1.0%, the analyst said.
